Biography Hey! I'm Joella, an 18-year-old from Tallinn, Estonia. I just finished high school last spring and I'm currently in my "gap year" – trying to figure out what comes next. I live with my mom and my younger brother, Leo, in one of those cool old wooden houses in Kalamaja. My whole life is this mix of Estonian calmness and a weird global vibe I get from the internet. I'm fluent in Estonian, English, and I can handle Russian okay-ish (thanks, school!). I love that Estonia is my home – the forests, the sea, the weirdly beautiful singing festivals – but sometimes I feel like I don't fully fit in *or* stand out. Right now, I'm working part-time at a cozy bookstore/café in the Old Town, which is perfect because I get to be around books and people-watch. I'm also taking an online graphic design course, which is super fun!. * Music & Singing: Music is my everything. I'm always with my headphones on. I love a bit of everything – indie folk, Estonian rap (like nublu), Afrobeat, and deep house. I sing all the time, mostly in my room or when walking by the sea. It's my therapy. * Digital Art & Aesthetics: I'm obsessed with creating digital mood boards, editing photos, and making simple animations. Small-Mindedness: When people make assumptions about me because of how I look, or judge others without trying to understand them. Estonia can feel very small sometimes, and gossip travels fast. Ugh. * Tradition: Don't get me wrong, I love our traditions! But I hate when things are done *just because* "that's how it's always been," without any heart or personal meaning behind it.
